What areas do you cover?
At Silver Cloud we will travel just about any where our showrooms and the vehicle housing warehouse are based at Rydalmere in Sydney and as such the majority of our weddings are in the Sydney metropolitan area. However we have traveled to Wollongong, Newcastle, Dubbo and a variety of other country towns throughout NSW. Regardless to where you live, arrangements can be made to assist you.
How much time before the wedding should I book the cars?
It is always exciting and rather momentous the day you decide to get married. Nevertheless there will be serious decisions to be made and it is important to prioritise those decisions that need to be made as early as possible. Choosing and booking your cars is one decision that would be high on that agenda, especially if you want to hire something special. At Silver Cloud Cars we often hold bookings up to 18 months in advance. Many couples will book up to 9 and 12 months in advance.
What happens if the cars break down on the day?
Heaven forbid! That is a bride and groom night mare and it is a question that needs to be asked and answered. At Silver Cloud in our 28 years of operation we have had a number of instances; fortunately through good management and planning every wedding has been brought to a happy conclusion. Unfortunately with any motor car, including modern cars the unexpected can happen, no one is able to grantee that a vehicle will run perfect every time, but you can feel very reassured that we are professionals and our vehicles are maintained to the highest standards and every effort is made to ensure your wedding day will go as planned.
How long will I need the cars for?
You are not locked into the basic time frame you can make use of the vehicles for as long as you like, of course extra charges will apply. Generally wedding cars arrive then take the Bride and bridal party to the place of ceremony then wait and move onto the reception. Depending on distance this normally takes around two hours.
Many couples after the ceremony are opting to visit to various photo locations first then finally on to the reception. Sometimes using the vehicles up to five even six hours. Of course this is entirely up to you.
How many people can I fit into each car?
Depending on the style of vehicle you select, each of our classic sedans will seat four adults plus the chauffeur. Classic limousines will seat more. When booking the vehicles the vehicle coordinator will assist you in you selection and should you the best way to sea everyone in comfort. Remembering the final choice is totally yours.
My wedding will be held on a Wednesday are you available?
"Yes" Silver cloud vehicles are available seven days a week excluding some major public holidays. Like, Christmas day.
I would like a car to collect the groom and groomsman and take them to the church do you do that?
Of course, the guys would like that very much, in fact some times if the distance is not too great we can have a car pick the boys take them to the place of the ceremony and return to meet other cars at the bride address. This saves money and ensure the boys arrive on time.
My parents don't drive can you supply a vehicle for them?
Absolutely, many of our clients request vehicles to collect family and friends.
It's not unusual for Silver Cloud to supply vehicles to collect guests from Airports, railway, stations, bus depots all manor of places.
I need to know how many wedding cars I will need on the day?
At Silver Cloud our wedding vehicle coordinator will offer you the opportunity to select from a great many cars all seating different numbers. Everyone's requirements are individual. Some couple hire just one vehicle others many. Take the time to phone our office the service is free and ask all the question you need.
When I make a booking with you will that include the ribbons or do I need to supply them to you?
Today the majority of couples like to have the traditional white satin ribbons on the vehicles and we do supply them. If you
prefer another colour we are very happy to accommodate. The ribbons need to be 40 -50 mm wide and 8 meters in length.
The vehicles will arrive with the white ribbons and collect your ribbons on the day. If you have a special doll or dolls you would like placed onto the front of the vehicles please advise the chauffeurs on the day.
What do you include with the vehicles?
Silver Cloud insure all your needs are cater for, white satin ribbons, Champagne for those whom partake, cold water and of course the red capers to protect gowns from the ground. We are at your service so should like a particular drink or snack food that can be arranged.
IMPORTANT; It should be noted that while we are happy to place particular items on our vehicles. We do reserve the right to refuse.
Is silver cloud Wedding Cars licensed to operate?
Yes, we are accredited with the NSW department of transport.
We are also foundation members of the NSW wedding car hirers association.
Are the vehicles available for inspection?
Yes, our showroom is open every Monday and Wednesday evening up until 930 PM.
However inspections can be arranged for just about any week day. It is best to make an appointment so not to be disappointed.
If you are able it is always recommended you inspect the vehicles before booking.

There is no price list on the site?
That's correct; our pricing policy is worked on the distance of the wedding location. The number of vehicles required and travel time involved. Every wedding is unique and we recognize that your vehicle requirements are individual and encourage you to contact our wedding coordinator us to discuss your needs. In this way we can supply you with an accurate quotation. There is no obligation for you to proceed with the booking. You can obtain a free quotation by telephoning us at 02 9871 6451.
If I make a booking with your company, will the prices change before my wedding day?
The simple answer is NO the base rate will always remain the same. However if you make changes, this can alter the quoted prices, but that would be fully explained when and if changes were made. When a booking is made a deposit is taken which sets the price.
The weather can change and I need to be assured that I won't get drenched, what does your company do in these cases?
Well it must be said we have no control over the weather and it should also be said, we at Silver Cloud have NEVER had a drenched bride, a drenched chauffeur YES! Every vehicle carries on board large umbrella's.
Are you cars available for any other occasions other than weddings?
Silver Cloud offer our vehicles for any number uses. Film work and school formals to mention two. There are many uses for our vehicles and they have been and will continue to be made available to all those who wish to use them.
